Rapper Kidd Creole aka Nathaniel Glover was convicted in April of 2022 with manslaughter.
Creole was found guilty of the 2017 knifing death of a homeless man which happened in midtown Manhattan.
Creole was one of the founding members of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.
The group consisted of Creole, Melle Mei, The Keith Cowboy and Mr. Ness/Scorpio and Rahiem.
According to the prosecution, Creole stabbed the victim after the victim suggested Creole was gay.
Immediately after the stabbing, Creole went to work, changed his clothes, cleaned and disposed of the knife.
Creole’s defense argued reasonable self-defense.
